In these times,when there are many who teach the oral instructions,There are many people who have some partial knowledge。 But the appearances of this life are beguiling and enticing,And,because of not taking the thought of impermanence and death to heart,There are many whose knowledge remains as mere theory。 Although they receive many instructions,they are stubborn and insensitive。 Without shying away from wrong-doing,their actions are like a mere commoner。 Those who receive the teachings only criticize the faults of others。 This is because they lack revulsion,the foot of meditation。 If you know the path but do not traverse it, It is like having no chance to visit Jowo Temple。 In this respect,people have higher,medium,and lower capacities。 The person of the highest capacity does not need to renounce worldly actions,But can practice while mixing mundane actions with the practice。 This partaking of sense pleasures as the path,without abandoning them,Is the example of King Indrabodhi。 The person of medium capacity abandons most worldly actions。 He practices while keeping the behavior of a monk。 Trying to acquire food,drink, and clothing Is the life-style of most learned and accomplished masters of India and Tibet。 The person of lowest capacity cannot fulfill his aims while keeping two frames of mind。 He is unable to engage in both Dharmic and mundane pursuits And practices,having cast away concerns for the food and clothing of this life。 This is the life-style of such masters as Milarepa and Gotsangpa。 rj: 如今,当提起口耳相传的时候,很多学人其实对之仅仅具备片面的见解。 由于生活的表现是欺诈和诱惑,并且也由于学人并没有把观死与无常时时放在心上,这样那些口耳相传在他们那里就变成了仅仅是理论上的东西。 尽管他们接受了很多口耳相传,但他们还是很固执和愚钝。对所做的事一点不会感到羞愧,其行为和不修行的人没什么两样。 那些接受了指导的人仅仅批评他人的错误,这是由于他们缺乏自我反思──入三摩地的工具。 如果你知道方法但不实际去做,似乎并没有能进步的可能。 基本上,人们可分为利根,中根,钝根三类。 利根的人不需要断绝和世俗的瓜葛,相反他们能把世俗事务和修行很好地协调起来。 这种参与的快乐感觉可以作为修行的道路,而非舍弃快乐。这样例子有Indrabodhi国王。 中根的修行者舍弃世俗中的大部分活动,他的行为需要和出家人一样。 不论是在XZang还是印度,(一边修行一边)努力去获得饮食、衣物是大多数学过并且熟练掌握修行原理的行者的生活方式。 钝根的人若同时生活在两种人生框架下并不能实现其目标。以其能力,他不可能修行和世俗生活二者兼得。 在其此生的实际生活中,他不关心饮食、衣物。此类生活方式的行者有密勒日巴(尊者)和 Gotsangpa。 zf: 在下猜测,噶玛恰美祖师的用意可能是提醒众人,即使如米拉尊者这样“下等能力者”,只要时刻taking the thought of impermanence and death to heart,精进苦修,其成就照样可以超过“中等能力者”而独步古今。 在下介绍此标准的用意是:从“理论”上说,并且历史上确有此种“上等能力者”,可以practicing while mixing mundane actions with the practice,partaking of sense pleasures as the path without abandoning them。只不过欲尝试此种修行者,应认真掂量一下自己的本事──孔雀吃剧毒而越发美丽,您敢与孔雀共餐吗? zf: 王请释迦牟尼佛传授一个不需要放弃世间生活就可成佛的修行方法,如来说:你就是佛。王当下信受承当,大事了毕(颇有禅宗立地成佛的色彩)。 另外,诺那祖师开示录中记载: 问:现在一般人世务憧憧,修法之时甚少,不知有无最简单而且最大之修持法? 问:如此简单修持,其功德是否与清净修持时之功德相等? |
